About the Show
Into the Woods features familiar storybook characters’ intersecting journeys: a Baker and his wife seek to break a witch’s curse, Cinderella wishes to attend the King’s Festival, Jack just wants his cow to give milk, and Little Red adventures to her grandmother’s house. All seek to fulfill their fairytale destinies. But what happens after Happily “Ever After”?
Those auditioning should be age 12 or older and prepare a vocal selection of 24-36 bars similar to the style of the show. Feel free to bring a résumé and headshot, but none are required. Also, be prepared to do a cold reading. Please be prepared to mark potential rehearsal conflict dates.
Prospective performers have three opportunities to audition live.
May 13, 2019- Jasper Arts Center, 6:30pm to 9pm, Eastern
May 14, 2019- Jasper Arts Center, 6:30pm to 9pm, Eastern
May 15, 2019- Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana (212 Main St., Evansville, IN 47708), 5:30pm to 8pm, Central
