Young Abe Lincoln: ENCORE!

After the success of “Young Abe Lincoln’s” triumphant 30th anniversary return to the Amphitheatre’s stage in 2017, make plans to attend its encore presentation this summer to witness the remarkable story of a young Abraham Lincoln! Set in the woods of his boyhood home at the picturesque Lincoln Amphitheatre, “Young Abe Lincoln” is a playful story chronicling the events that shaped our 16th president as he grew up in Southern Indiana. This heartwarming musical is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Children 12 and under are welcome to attend “Young Abe Lincoln” free of charge.

“Young Abe Lincoln” is based on the original Billy Edd Wheeler script.

This encore presentation will be the last chance to see Young Abe for awhile—get your tickets today!

This production runs Thursday – Saturday, July 5 – July 14.

Rehearsal and Cast Details

Thank you to all who auditioned for "The Secret Garden" and "Young Abe Lincoln: Encore"!  With nearly 100 people auditioning who showed enormous talent, the job of casting these shows was difficult.  While we were unable to cast everyone who auditioned, the entire production team strongly encourages you to come and be involved backstage, with set construction, front of house, or whatever technical way you'd like to share your talents.  We look forward to seeing everyone at our future auditions. Please contact us if you are interested in being involved with either of the musicals. All rehearsals will be at the Lincoln Amphitheatre and run on Central Time. The first rehearsal is Saturday, May 12 from 8am-2pm. Please bring a sharpened pencil with an eraser, a water bottle, packed lunch and snacks for break, and a notebook to write in. Understudies will be used at each rehearsal and will be asked to take on a number of jobs (onstage and off) throughout the process - more information will be provided via email to the understudies. A parent of cast members under the age of 16 is expected to attend the first rehearsal with your child. Conflicts listed on your audition form have been noted. NOTE - Saturday, May 12 will be the last day to submit rehearsal conflicts.
